Who We Are?
Steve, Sharon Turner and Family are the founders and owner operators of this family Stud Red Brahman Enterprise.
About Us.

A Passion for Red Brahmans
It all started in 1982 when brothers Steve and David Turner co-founded Wilarandy Brahmans. From the very beginning, Steve’s passion for breeding stud cattle was undeniable, and over time, Red Brahmans became an exciting part of the program.
In 1991, Steve married Sharon, and together, their love for breeding quality cattle only grew stronger. By 1995, they had formed Wilarandy S Brahmans, focusing on their vision for the ideal stud.
Over the next decade, both herds flourished, but a big decision had to be made—stick with both colors or focus on one? In the end, Red Brahmans won out, not just for their unique qualities but because they truly aligned with Steve and Sharon’s vision.
A major milestone came in 2007 when Wilarandy S Brahmans topped the Rockhampton Brahman Week Sale with an $80,000 red sire, Wilarandy S Branson. That moment solidified their direction, and they made the call to sell their last grey females and fully commit to Red Brahmans.
The Dream
The next dream was to buy a property they could call their own-a place to shape their future. In 2009, they dispersed Wilarandy S Brahmans, intending to reinvest in a family farm. But as life often does, things didn’t go exactly to plan. It wasn’t until 2018 that Steve and Sharon finally purchased their dream property.
Of course, anyone with a passion for breeding knows it’s impossible to stay away for long. By 2010, Y3K Brahmans was born, starting with just three females. Today, that small herd has grown to around 80 females. And when they finally purchased the family farm, they also reclaimed the last of the original Wilarandy cattle. With Steve being a co-founder of Wilarandy back in 1982, it felt right to keep the name, running both studs side by side as a tribute to their journey.

The future
Now, with Alex and Carly establishing their own studs and following the same values of honesty, integrity, and quality breeding, this has truly become a family-run enterprise. The future looks bright, and we’re excited for what’s to come!
